The Sketchbook Project

I just signed up for The Sketchbook Project

I found this last year, but didn't have enough time to get one in for the 2011 tour. I'm anxiously awaiting my 2012 sketchbook. I believe it's 32 pages, with a useable cover. There's a bunch of sort of strange themes to choose from, but I just went with "untitled". I am however thinking of going with a theme of my own. Thoughts so far are leaning towards "Places I want to go". I figure I need some sort of direction, or I'll just end up with an unfinished mess of a sketchbook. Once the sketchbook is finished I'll send it back in, and then it'll go "on tour" with the rest of the sketchbooks. Stops on the tour include; Brooklyn, NY, Boston, MA, Chicago, IL, San Francisco, CA, Atlanta, GA, Austin, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Portland, ME, Vancouver, Canada, and Toronto, Canada. After the tour the sketchbooks are cataloged and displayed in the permanent collection at the Brooklyn Art Library. Click the link above for more details. I'll be posting pictures and updates once I receive my sketchbook.

Speaking of Brooklyn...

Just for FUN!

"If growing up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, I'll never grow up, never grow up, never grow up! Not me!" - J.M. Barrie (Peter Pan)

Sure, I had plenty of stuff, but these would have been great growing up...

...or now

Gorgeous! Love the star carvings <3
If I was a parent I'd totally shop at Cedar Works

Indoor tree house leaves a lot of room for playing.

Chalk board walls? YES PLEASE!!

Fun! See the rest of this room here!

This is amazing!
